Case:  Car Accident with injuries

Date: 5/13/2018

Time: 4:02am

On May 13, 2018 at approximately 4:02am the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office responded to car verses train accident in the city of Kiester.

Phillip Weber age 35 of Mapleton was travelling eastbound on the Union Pacific railroad tracks in Kiester when his 1996 Chevrolet caviler was rear ended by a Union Pacific train. 

Phillip Weber was transported to Mayo Hospital in Albert Lea where he was evaluated and released back into custody of the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office. Weber is currently be held at the Faribault Jail on $56,000 bond for 1st degree DUI.

This accident is still under investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.

 Assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene were the Wells Police Department, Kiester Fire Department and the Kiester Ambulance.
